Resources_292534349In the midst of the current wildfire season and in the face of more power shutoffs, we wanted to share new resources available to our communities. Having ONE place to go for all the info you need is a big help!

The State of California has developed a number of resources to support local communities as we continue to face the threat of wildfires and power shutoffs.

Governor Newsom has launched a new state website, RESPONSE.CA.GOV, with tools and resources for Californians who have been impacted by wildfires and utility-directed power shutoffs.

RESPONSE.CA.GOV contains information and resources for current incidents, transportation impacts, vital health services information, shelter and housing locations, unemployment assistance, and other state information. It also directs users to Public Safety Power Shutoff information and preparedness tips.

As incidents continue to evolve, the portal will be updated to reflect the latest information and any additional resources the state may develop.

In addition, the California Health and Human Services Agency has published a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Resource Guide to help Californians impacted by power shutoffs. CHHS has also launched a non-emergency hotline - (833) 284-3473 - that has been established to help medically vulnerable Californians and health and community care facilities find resources in their communities during power shutoffs.

Please use and share these guides during natural disasters and power shutoffs as resources for our communities and the vulnerable populations.
